FRANK & RENEE

BATANES, PHL

Shooting in different places, getting the chance to witness the real beauty of our mother nature, getting to know various culture and different people – these are just some of the many things that we are very grateful for this job.

When Frank and Renee inquired to us, we have no idea that we are having a pure Chinese couple until we met them. It was quite surprising and overwhelming. They said they wanted to do their engagement session in Batanes and then have their wedding in China. Everything was fast than the usual set-up because they need to go back to China for the wedding. And so everything is set… until it rained continuously, days before our flight. Renee was very anxious. Well, indeed all of us. According to the news there were three LPA inside the Philippine area of responsibility, particularly near in Batanes. So, when we left Manila, it was still raining so hard.

When we arrived in Batanes, we were all surprised! It was warm and sunny! We took advantage on the weather and decided to shoot in the afternoon on that day. We were all in awe when we arrived on our first location! The serenity, the relaxing feels of isolation, the stillness of the mountains and the calmness of the rushing waves from the west sea will definitely make you realize how beautiful love is. This is truly Batanes!

At first, we had some little adjustments on directing poses because Frank’s language is pure Chinese but we get used to it later on. It was a whole new experience for all of us. Although the weather may not be perfect on the second day, we would still say that we’re still blessed to come up with such beautiful photos! We will also never forget the moment when Renee told us while they’re checking their photos, “It is actually a lot better than we expected.” Hearing those kinds of words always gives us the affirmation that everything we work hard for will always be worth it.

So dig in, keep scrolling down and let’s all reminisce nature, life and love once more!
