JERON & SHEENA

TOKYO, JAPAN

I saw Sheena cry three times during our entire shoot in Japan. Expectation vs reality bites.

From what we have preparedly talked on our meeting here in the Philippines, to the CLOSED restaurant she preparedly dressed up on her bridal shower shoot on our last day, we struggle. Our VIP reservation turned out to a 10-minute shoot on a local Japan Bank branch nearby. This is just one of the many mishaps we had.

Lake Kawaguchiko was ditched during the first day, it rained so hard. Team lab was definitely not a great plan, lines starts from the parking all the way to the first floor to second …..and so on and so forth. We had fever and cough from the day one to finish, holding to our adrenaline rush to survive every shoot. I could not mention more.

Creativity wise, during destination engagement shoots, we cannot do a 10-minute shoot per set. We are not the kind of photographers who can shoot and create everything in a snap. We take time. We feel it. We linger. While the couples are trying to relax on their test shots, we slowly dig in. Together we grow. That’s how we create a story.

But you see? On those situations, the best part is having the best person who will never let you down alone. You’ll realize that you can see the best version of yourself on the worsts situation given to you. How you’ll react, how you’ll handle it. How you will stand up for it and still do your best. How will you rock everything together.

So cry no more Sheena, because at the end of the aisle, it’s all worth it!
